Research

I am fascinated by how intelligent technologies can support people in everyday life and make interactions between humans and machines more natural, intuitive, and meaningful. My particular interests lie in robotics and the development of human-centered technological systems.

Seeking a PhD opportunity

I am looking to pursue doctoral research in robotics, particularly at the intersection of humans, machines, and artificial intelligence. My main interests include human-robot interaction (HRI), social and assistive robotics, companion robots, and the development of intelligent autonomous systems that can support and engage with people in everyday life. With degrees in mechanical engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) and management (M.Sc.) from the Technical University of Munich, I bring a strong technical foundation, an interdisciplinary perspective, and hands-on experience developing digital products. I welcome conversations with research groups and prospective supervisors working in these or related fields.

Study: The burden after a death

When someone dies, their relatives often face a long list of government offices, cancellations and forms, right in the middle of their grief. I am studying how large this burden really is in Germany and what it costs those affected and the wider economy. For this, I am looking for people who have handled this paperwork within the last few years.

Who
Adults who handled the paperwork after a death in Germany
Format
Online survey / interview, about 30-45 minutes
Data protection
Voluntary, can be withdrawn at any time, analyzed only in anonymized form

Disclosure: I founded Meolea, a platform for advance and estate planning. This study is independent of it.
